Podcast Page Maker

For podcasters wishing to promote each other, we have developed a very simple API (Application Programming Interface) called the Podcast Page Maker (Formerly RssAPI). This extremely simple API comes with only one mandatory setting and several optional settings. It will help you trade podcasts with other podcasters without any manual updating. Using this program, as soon as you put up a new show, it will automatically show up on the other web site without any HTML coding. The HTML is a simple iframe tag.

The only requirement for you, the podcaster, is that you need to have entered a valid RSS feed address into your PodcasterWhosWho.com account. You can obtain your RssAPI address from your podcasterwhoswho.com podcaster directory page

To use the Podcast Page Maker, simply go to your podcaster directory page on PodcasterWhosWho.com and copy the HTML and send it to as many web site owners as you wish to paste it onto their web sites. The mandatory setting (the PodcasterWhosWho.com username) is already included in your link.

Here's what it looks like:
<iframe src="http://www.hotwebideas.com/gc/rssapi.asp?podcaster=YOUR PodcasterWhosWho.com Login ID&bgcolor=white&ItemLimit=3" width="100%" height="200px" scrolling="auto" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Mandatory Settings
podcaster - A string representing your PodcasterWhosWho.com login ID. In order for this to work, you must have a valid PodcasterWhosWho.com member account and have entered a valid RSS feed address into the RSS Feed field of your PodcasterWhosWho.com member account. If you are not already a member, you can sign up by clicking here.

Optional Settings
ItemCount - An integer specifying the number of podcast episodes you would like to appear. For example, if you want 5 podcast episodes to appear, make this setting itemcount=5. The default is 3 and ignoring this setting will automatically list your three last podcast episodes.

bgcolor - A string specifying the background color of your episode hyperlinks. You can use english colors or hexidecimal values. So, for example, to make your background yellow, use bgcolor=yellow or bgcolor=FFFF00. For hexidecimal values, do NOT use the # sign. The default is white.
